This memorial has been set up in dedication to a family of six who were all killed in a crash on the
M6 in Cheshire.

Ten-week-old Elouise Statham and her 20-month-old brother Mason were killed with their brothers
Reece, 13, and Jay, nine, and their parents David, 38, and Michelle, 33.

Cheshire Police said that, because of the nature of the accident, the bodies could not be formally
identified but next of kin named the family as the Stathams.

The family, from Llandudno, North Wales, were returning home from visiting relatives in the West
Midlands when the crash happened between junctions 16 and 17 of the M6 at around 10.40pm last night.
The crash, which happened near Sandbach, involved two cars and three heavy goods vehicles, police
said.

So Sad

i got a phone call yesterday from a friend asking me do you who the family is from town that got killed in that acccident on the M6.

I typed M6 accident in google and up it came a family of 6 who was visiting grand parents in Birmingham, after a few seconds it hit me, the only family i know here from Birmingham is Dave the chef, the hair on my back stud up and i went freezing cold,i phoned my mate back up and soon he answered i said it could be Dave the chef who used to work at our local pub, he then said then said to me he had spoken to one of our other mates wife and she said that he works in St Davids College, and i said its the same guy and could not believe it.

Two weeks prior to this i was in kentucky and in front of me was a young lad ordering a meal, his accent hit me straight away beeing from Birmingham and he was so polite yes please yes thanks, anyway they gave us our meals at the same time and i left kentucky and this young lad walked to a car and Dave got out, i saw Dave and said straight away to him that lad is a ringer for you mate, he said yeah i know and smiled.

Saddly that was the last time i saw him

I cant imagine what the families left behind must be going through, just be strong for each other.

This awful tragedy has shocked and saddened to an unimaginable extent! Words can not describe how family and friends must be feeling at such a tragic time! The only little comfort is knowing that they are now safe with the angels and will forever watch over you; they may not be here in your arms but they will forever be alive in your hearts x x

I cry each time I read about this terrible tragedy. Just when you got your little girl and were so so happy, this happened.

At least you are all together for forever.

God Bless you all and sending your families the strength to try and cope without you all..

We are so upset for all the relatives, we only really new Reece from the Karate Dojo and the Rugby Club. We sparred with him many a time and he was always fun and always saw the humour in life. Always smiling and looking forward to things. We all miss him, my own boys Tobias and Theo were always having a laugh together. He also enjoyed his Rugby and always had a positive attitude towards his game. He was obviously having great advice about life and sport involvment and was always a credit to his parents and all family members. God Bless You all.
